Flexographic Printer – Narrow Web

Location - Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary -  £32,000 – £36,000 per annum + shift allowance
Job Type -  Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern -  Mixture of 10 hour shifts to include mornings, days and nights (4 on / 4 off)

Our client is a UK market leader in label manufacturing, producing high quality printed labels for a diverse range of sectors including FMCG, pharmaceutical, and industrial. With significant investment in state-of-the-art printing equipment and a strong focus on operator development, they are now seeking an experienced Flexographic Printer to join their Leeds-based facility.

Role Summary - 
This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining narrow web flexographic presses to deliver exceptional print quality to tight deadlines. You’ll be working in a fast-paced production environment with high attention to detail and quality control.

Key Responsibilities - 

• Operate and maintain narrow web flexo presses (e.g., Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Gallus)
• Conduct press setup, colour matching, and registration
• Run print jobs across multiple substrates including PP, PE, and paper
• Perform regular quality checks and make on-the-fly adjustments
• Ensure minimal waste and downtime through efficient press management
• Work closely with print supervisors and quality teams
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety protocols

Skills & Experience Required - 

• Minimum 3 years' experience in flexographic printing (narrow web preferred)
• Proven ability to set up and operate multi-colour presses
• Sound understanding of colour theory and print process controls
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work continental shifts in a team-oriented environment
